Although today is not Friday, I'm looking REALLY forward to tomorrow because its my school's SEMIFORMAL! For those who don't know what semi-formal is, it's a banquet where you have your dinner and DANCE DANCE DANCE. Kinda like a wedding reception, only no one is getting married.
Anyways, what's new with you? No one even decides to comment on my blogs, which is why I don't really post them, since no one really reads them. Get it?
However, if you are one of the few who reads my blogs, I will now give you actually worth reading.
This is just a mere thought of mine.
So I was on the bus and I was talking with my friend, and she's forever in uni/college because she doesn't really know what to do after leaving once and for all. And she doesn't know what career she would like to do, although that is a different story, I'm trying to address here the fact that we can't really get jobs in certain fields.
Me, I want to become a journalist, yes, it's a very competitive field round here, so we have to work our butts off just so we can get into journalism school. So far, I'm working hard in class, getting the grades and building a portofolio. So I have my mind set on what I want to do, but will they(work force) enable to do it?
Yes, you think, most likely not. The reason I think so is because, NO ONE CAN AFFORD TO LOSE THEIR JOB IN THIS COUNTRY. Especially in the journalism section of it. You see people still reporting, writing, etc from the eighties till now. They increased retirement age. So chances fresh journalists getting a top job is very, very, very slim. Unless you work for a youth based network, like MTV.
But this goes out to all careers out there.
If we're the future like they claim....
why not let us get our careers that we want??
