It may seem as a gross combination, but read on to see what I really mean.
"Speak now or forever hold your peace." The pastor said. They were nearing the end of Rae's and Antoine's ceremony, Rae held on to Antoine's hand, looking out into the audience, and pleadingly staring into her ex boyfriend Maurice's eyes. Although she liked Antoine, she LOVED Maurice. And wanted him to speak now and like Antoine go hold his peace.
The pastor began to read from the bible, Antoine smiled, and Rae died inside.
"WAIT"
A gasp fell upon the crowd.
Rae eye's brightened as she saw Maurice make his way to the altar.
"Young man, you would like to object this marriage?" The pastor asked.
"I've been a fool. I've secretely longed to marry you, Rae, but...I never thought I would still love you like I first did. If I sat back there and see you go off with Antoine, I could never live with myself."
"Who the heck is he, Rae!?" Antoine demanded.
Before she said anything, Rae ran to Maurice and immersed herself in his sweet kisses. She whispered "You rescued me" in Maurice's ear.
"Everyone" She started, "This...is Maurice, I've known him since I was fifteen. And although he left, I invited him to my wedding. To be honest, when Maurice left for africa...he took my heart with him. And although I seemed to move on I really didn't..."
"This makes NO sense, Rae!" Antoine cried.
"Alright. You have your oatmeal...and your nachoes..."
"Rae!"
"Shut it, Antoine!!"
With that Antoine heaved a sigh and listened.
"You have your oatmeal and your nachoes, you see, your oatmeal, always there and you've been used to it all your life. And you got so used to it, you'd die if you can't eat again. Then you got your nachoes, something new, exciting, something you actually seeing yourself replacing oatmeal with.
But, you're just to attached to oatmeal and you wouldn't change that. So..as you can see, oatmeal outweighs the nachoes. No matter what, I must always have my oatmeal." She took Maurice's hand.
"I'm sorry, Antoine, but..I never could love you like I do Maurice."
"Damn oatmeal" Antoine muttered. "And don't expect me to pay for this wedding!" Then he stormed out
"Pastor, we are paying you by the hour" Rae laughed.
And the service continued, Rae and Maurice got married and lived happily ever after.
=D
So, you have two people, one's the oatmeal, the other is the nachoes. Choose the oatmeal. Your heart will tell you to do the same
